About Cinematic Scripture

Helping Spiritually Curious Christians Disciple Through Film and Story

Hi, I’m Cyle. Here's Why This Exists.

I spent years in ministry with deep biblical training behind me—yet still felt something missing.

I could preach Leviticus... But I couldn’t explain why it pulsed with gospel longing.

I could name truth... But I didn’t know how to guide others through beauty.

I studied doctrine... But I still didn’t see the whole story.

Everything changed when I began studying screenwriting.
I saw the narrative bones of Scripture—arcs, reversals, tension—echoed in the films that moved me. And for the first time, the pieces fit.

I stopped separating my faith from my creative instincts. I stopped fearing complexity. And I started seeing the gospel in the stories I used to ignore.

Now, I help spiritually curious Christians make that same shift:
Interpreting film and Scripture side by side—not just with clarity, but with presence.

Not just for personal insight, but to guide others into the Story that transforms everything.

🎯 Our Mission

To awaken and equip believers to disciple through story.

We teach a narrative-first biblical framework that helps Christians interpret culture, awaken spiritual clarity, and lead with theological confidence.

Why?
Because film shapes worldview—and believers need spiritually grounded tools to engage beauty, truth, and culture deeply.

How?
Through cinematic story as biblical interpretation.
We offer challenges, coaching cohorts, and reflection-driven formation experiences.

What’s Unique?
The Story Lens—a simple, 3-step framework that makes film and Scripture analysis accessible, actionable, and spiritually rich.
You’ll learn to see story as sacred, speak with gospel fluency, and share the redemptive arc that runs through every life.

🧠 Who We Serve

Cinematic Scripture is for Christians who sense gospel truth in film—but feel unequipped to name it, interpret it, or lead others through it.

We work with:

  • Spiritually Curious Christians – stirred by story but seeking theological structure
  • Faith-Driven Film Lovers – ready to move from entertainment to formation
  • Pastors & Teachers – craving story-shaped discipleship beyond curriculum
  • Thinkers & Creatives – at the intersection of beauty and biblical truth
  • Cultural Navigators – eager to speak with grace in a world of noise and nuance

🛤️ Our Framework: The Seeing God in Story Method

🕯️ See Story as Sacred

We begin by reading Scripture and film as sacred dialogue—where narrative reveals gospel longing before systems explain it. Wonder is restored. Imagination is reawakened.

🧭 Interpret with Clarity

Using The Story Lens—a 3-step method to identify Realm, Theme, and Message—we learn to interpret the spiritual and redemptive weight of every story. Truth emerges through theological depth, not fear.

🫙 Embody What You Carry

Discipleship isn’t something you produce—it’s something you become.
We help Christians move from consuming story to becoming story-shaped guides—so they can lead others through the narrative arc of redemption and help them see their place in God’s unfolding story.

✨ Closing Benediction

Cinematic Scripture exists to help Christians embody story-shaped discipleship—interpreting film and Scripture side by side, and guiding others into the gospel-shaped narrative that transforms everything.
We believe the ache between creativity and theology is sacred—and that discipleship begins with attention, deepens through interpretation, and becomes transformation when shared through presence.
